Barbara Defazzio is the President of Circle of Friends Services, Inc. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts, and a Diplomate of the Board of Clinical Forensic Counseling with the American College of Clinical Forensic Counselors. Ms. Defazzio has worked in child welfare systems for over thirty years - not only in Florida, but also in New York, Massachusetts and North Carolina. She has served as a clinical consultant to the Family Courts in Massachusetts, and has provided expert testimony and consultation in both Massachusetts and Florida on issues such as childhood trauma, the long-term effects of abuse on a child, PTSD and childhood attachment issues. Since coming to Florida in 1998, Ms Defazzio has served as Clinical Director for the Children's Home Society and Neighbor To Family, and has been instrumental in setting up trauma-based services for children in several agencies. Ms. Defazzio is a recognized expert in child trauma treatment, and has provided consultation and training in trauma work for area agencies and programs, as well as in national venues such as the Foster Family Treatment Association Conferences.

Vince Defazzio is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Circle of Friends Services, Inc. Vince began his career in child welfare at Albany Home for Children, and went on to open and administer several adolescent group homes in New York and Massachusetts before moving into the business sector. Since making that move, Vince has accumulated over thirty years of experience in sales, marketing and financial management. Now, in his role with Circle of Friends Services, Inc., he manages both the financial and personnel programs. Vince served for two years as President of the Board of the Westfield Area Mental Health Clinic in Westfield, MA, and guided that agency through both fiscal and operational reorganization.

Dr. Kenneth R. Salvas is a Senior Therapist with Circle of Friends Services, Inc. Dr. Salvas holds a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts and was a past Clinical Director of The Holyoke Boys Club Family Therapy Program. He has held positions as a graduate adjunct professor in several colleges teaching courses in family therapy and in human systems behavior. In Massachusetts Dr. Salvas was a court investigator for several courts providing expert testimony on the role of the family in child custody cases as well as consultations with Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Since moving to Florida he was Clinical Supervisor for Children’s Home Society and Supervisor of Therapeutic Foster Care. Dr. Salvas has provided on-going training to case managers and therapists on the role of change in the family.
